Imperial World
(an Age of Emperors scenario)
           
Prepare to do battle with history's greatest empires. Rome, Carthage, Macedonia, and Persia struggle for control of a randomly generated world. No two games are the same! Choose your civilization and prepare for an epic contest. There is a thin line between victory and defeat. If your King and his Royal Heirs are slain, your civilization will collapse! [LENGTH: depends on map size. PLAYERS: single or multi. SPECIAL: relaxed shallow water rules.]

Rome: Warrior Code, 200 gold, more techs possible w/ goody huts
Carthage: Alphabet, Pottery, Warrior Code, Writing, Mapmaking, 400 gold
Macedon: Alphabet, The Wheel, Warrior Code, 25 gold
Persia: Ceremonial Burial, 200 gold, more techs possible w/ goody huts
 

SCENARIO SETTINGS

-random map

-relaxed shallow water rules: deep draft vessels slowed in shallow water.  No deepwater ports.

-no plagues

-cultural conversions are allowed

-length: 550 turns (1,100 years: 350 bc - 750 ad).

-Victory conditions: total conquest, high score, domination (76% terrain, 76% population.  Note: a civ can be eliminated by killing its kings and heirs.


IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS

Your civ collapses when your Emperor and all his heirs are dead. Imperial Palaces and the Summer Palace produce an heir every 100 turns.  The Summer Palace is only available to expansionist civs (Rome and Persia).

Numidians Mercenaries cost 50 shields instead of the usual 70.

Hoplites have +1 HP.
